Bio


Leslie Slaughter is an established broadcast and print artist who began her career in Columbus, Ohio.  She has built a solid reputation based on her talent, passion, professionalism and dedication.
Leslie began building her skills while still in highschool.  During her junior and senior years, Leslie interned at WCBE Radio.  She wrote on-air copy and recorded promos for this award-winning public radio station.

During her college years, Leslie interned at every network affiliate TV station in Columbus (WSYX, WBNS, and NBC 4) and earned a B.A. in journalism with honors (cum laude) from The Ohio State University (OSU).  She partnered with reporters and assisted in covering breaking news and assigned news stories.  During her internships, Leslie covered a wide range of news events including a bomb scare at a local bank, a flight on a WWII bomber with local veterans and an assignment that included non-stop 24-hour coverage of national election returns.

Leslie continued her education at OSU and earned a master of art’s degree in journalism.  She then became a segment producer at WSYX-TV in Columbus, Ohio were she developed story ideas, conducted on-camera interviews and wrote news packages.

Leslie then turned her attention to acting and spokeswork and has built a solid reputation as an actor with national and regional credits in commercials and corporate/industrial videos. She has also excelled as an on-camera and live-event spokesperson, voiceover artist and commercial print model.  Leslie’s professionalism, business acumen and technical savvy not only make her a quick study, but also a keen performer with an inviting on-camera presence.

Most recently, Leslie has enjoyed co-hosting a talk show on women’s issues, portraying a reporter in a SAG film entitled Artworks, and traveling around the country as a spokesperson for General Motors.
